Call for Nominations for Advisory Committee Members

for OSI TB/HIV Advocacy Small Grants Review

 

The Open Society Institute (OSI) and the Treatment Action Group (TAG) are seeking nominations for 3 Advisory Committee members from the regions of East Africa, West Africa and the Former Soviet Union to join our current TB/HIV Advisory committee and assist them in reviewing grant proposals for TB/HIV advocacy grants.

OSI and TAG are seeking Advisory Committee members who:

  • Are experienced HIV/AIDS advocates
  • Are members of organizations with strong PLWHA representation at all levels
  • Have links with regional and/or global networks or coalitions
  • Are from countries affected by the dual TB/HIV epidemics
  • Have expertise/experience with gender issues/involvement of women
  • Have expertise/experience with other vulnerable populations
  • Are willing to commit the time and energy required
  • Represent the regions of West Africa, East Africa or the Former Soviet Union.

Advisory Committee (AC) members will be expected to commit to the following activities:

  • Attend the Advisory Committee meeting to review the small TB/HIV grant letters of intent (LOIs). (Date and location to be announced)
  • Attend regional TB/HIV Workshops as they are announced.
  • Review final round of TB/HIV grant applications for OSI (in person or by conference call—to be discussed).

Nominations should consist of a letter of interest from a nominating organization with the curriculum vitae and contact information of the person nominated. Nominations to the Advisory Committee are due by Monday 29 November and should be submitted to–
