NUTRITION ACCESS PROJECT

Considerable evidence exists to demonstrate that appropriate nutritional intervention can make a difference in the quality and lenght of life for individuals living with HIV. Experts agree that a high protein/high calorie, low-fat diet is best for the needs of most people living with HIV. Appropriate diet and supplementation can counter nutrient deficits common in HIV infection, prevent or help to reverse the "wasting" process, support medical and other healing modalities, and improve overall well-being. Unfortunately too little of this vital information is getting into the hands of the people who need it most, namely people living with HIV. To that end The Healing Well is sponsoring the Nutrition Access Project. We have developed a booklet entitled A Guide to Healthful Living with HIV. The booklet is free and people are encouraged to make copies to share with others. This is a real grass-roots project with no money only the caring hearts and helping hands of those who realize the important difference right nutrition can make in our lives. You can receive a copy of The Nutriton Access Project's Guide to Healthful Living for People with HIV by calling 718 727 2752, or you can now read and download it right HERE.
